Dear Alliance Leaders,
This year, King County voters have the opportunity to renew and EXPAND the Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy, which has provided vital support to King County residents since it was first approved 12 years ago.
The expanded levy will raise $350 million over 6 years to build on successful programs for veterans, support vulnerable individuals and their families, and provide services for seniors and their caregivers, at a cost of $3.75 a month for the typical King County homeowner.
For those of you that haven’t been following closely, you can get all the specifics about the Levy here. And for those of you who already know how important the Levy is, it’s time to step up yet again!
We have just 8 weeks left before Election Day, and we need to get our message out to as many voters as possible. And that’s where this message comes in.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
If you haven’t yet, we encourage you to please ENDORSE The King County Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy by completing and returning this form, which includes questions about how you or your organization would like to plug in to the campaign, to firstname.lastname@example.org. We wanted to make sure you have a comprehensive list of your options, so just skip over any that don’t apply to you.
We also wanted to provide you with contact information for Yes on Prop 1 campaign manager Ross Cohen (email@example.com). Please reach out to him for all your campaign needs, including having a speaker talk to your staff or board, getting yard signs and posters, setting up a phone bank, etc.
Also, many thanks to those of you who have already donated to the campaign. We’ll be reaching out to folks directly about making a donation, but if you’d prefer not to wait, feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make your pledge! A reminder that 501(c)3 non-profit organizations are absolutely able to participate in ballot initiative campaigns through direct voter contact and donations. For more information about your participation in campaigns, you can check out this website.
PS: Don’t forget to Like the Levy on Facebook to stay up to date with all of the campaign news!
